Kelli Brianne Garner was born on April 11, 1984, in Bakersfield, California. She grew up in nearby Newbury Park before moving to Thousand Oaks. Although initially shy, Garner’s acting career began unexpectedly when a talent agent noticed her at a friend’s bar mitzvah, leading to her debut in a commercial for Eggo waffles. During her time at Thousand Oaks High School, she was an accomplished soccer player, but her interests shifted toward acting after appearing in Mike Mills’s short film “Architecture of Assurance” in 2000.
Garner’s career features a range of roles, including the controversial crime thriller “Bully” (2001) and the critically praised drama “Lars and the Real Girl” (2007). She made her Broadway debut in “Dog Sees God” in 2005 and starred in the period drama “Pan Am” from 2011 to 2012. Her versatility is evident in performances such as “The Aviator” (2004) and the television series “The Enemy Within” (2019).
