Rep. David Valadao, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 22nd district, has been active on social media addressing various issues. Valadao succeeded former U.S. Congress member TJ Cox in 2021 and has previously served in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012.
On June 10, 2025, Rep. Valadao expressed his stance on the events unfolding in Los Angeles. He stated, “I support the First Amendment right to peacefully protest, but the violence and vandalism happening in Los Angeles is unacceptable and I stand with our law enforcement officers working to protect people and regain control over the situation.”
Later that day, he shared another update highlighting collaborative efforts within his party: “I’m proud to join @RepYoungKim and the rest of the California Republican delegation to introduce a resolution formally condemning the riots in Los Angeles.” The post included a link for further reading.
On June 11, Valadao addressed delays affecting legislative activities related to veterans’ affairs: “This bill provides critical resources for the Department of Veterans Affairs and funding for military construction projects, including NAS Lemoore. Unfortunately, proceedings are taking longer than expected, and I’ll need to reschedule tonight’s event.”
Born in Hanford, California in 1977, David Valadao resides there today at age 46.
