U.S. Congressman David Valadao, who represents California’s 22nd district, used his Twitter account on May 13, 2026, to highlight several legislative and community initiatives impacting his constituents.
In a post from the early morning of May 13, Valadao addressed the impact of crime on local businesses and families: “Organized retail crime and cargo theft are hurting small businesses and families across the Central Valley. These are coordinated criminal operations that put public safety at risk, disrupt supply chains, and drive-up costs for consumers. That’s why I was honored to help pass https://t.co/Gl736hRjUH” (May 13, 2026).
Later that day, Valadao turned his attention to family support measures with another tweet: “One of the most exciting moments for any expecting family is preparing to welcome a new child, but unexpected expenses can quickly add up and leave new parents facing costs far beyond what they planned. That’s why I’m proud to introduce the bipartisan Supporting Newborn Parents https://t.co/n41kzVYedj” (May 13, 2026).
Recognizing law enforcement during Police Week, Valadao posted: “In honor of Police Week, I welcomed deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office to Washington and gave them a tour of the U.S. Capitol. I’ll always support our local law enforcement, and it was great to thank these deputies in person for their service to our communities.” (May 13, 2026).
David Valadao has served as a member of Congress representing California’s 22nd District since replacing TJ Cox in 2021. Before his tenure in Congress began in 2021, he served in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012. Born in Hanford, California in 1977, Valadao continues to reside there while serving his district.
