Rep. David Valadao, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 22nd district, has expressed his concerns and reflections on several issues through a series of tweets.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Valadao addressed the issue of gas prices in California. He stated that “CA already has the highest gas prices in the nation, and increasing the gas tax to 61.2 cents/gallon is just another example of how out-of-touch Sacramento is to the needs of residents.” He further emphasized that it is time to suspend the gas tax to provide relief for families in the Valley.
Later on June 4, Rep. Valadao commented on the California High-Speed Rail Authority (CaHSRA) project. He remarked that “After Sacramento burned through billions in federal and state taxpayer dollars on @CaHSRA, we have nothing to show for it.” He praised a report from the Federal Railroad Administration for confirming that the project lacks a viable path forward.
On June 6, Rep. Valadao paid tribute to Allied soldiers who participated in D-Day during World War II. He tweeted: “Today we recognize and remember the brave Allied soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy 81 years ago.” His message underscored remembrance of their courage and sacrifice.
David Valadao was born in Hanford, California in 1977 and resides there today with his family.
