Bill Bagnall died on November 22, 2006. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Post-war, he bought a Norton ES2 motorcycle, joining Motorcyclist as a photographer. Climbing the ranks, he became an editor, leading for 20 years. He sold the magazine in 1972, retiring soon after. Bagnall, AMA president for three years, entered the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999. From 1983 to 2011, he hosted a renowned photographic equipment swap meet in Los Angeles. His death marked the end of a life dedicated to motorcycles, journalism, and community events.
