Rep. David Valadao, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 22nd district, recently highlighted local achievements and ongoing public health and infrastructure challenges in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On May 5, 2026, Valadao congratulated a local student for her artistic accomplishment: “I’d like to congratulate Emily Romero of Hanford High School on her winning entry for the Congressional Art Competition, July 7, 2012. Later that day, he addressed pressing health issues affecting his constituency: “In the Central Valley, more than half a million people are living with asthma, and many more struggle with allergies that make daily life harder than it should be. For many families, managing these conditions means juggling doctor’s visits, covering the cost of medications, and” (May 5, 2026).
On May 6, Valadao discussed infrastructure improvements during a site visit: “I really enjoyed my tour of the City of Avenal’s Water Storage Tank Project. This critical upgrade will replace the aging 5-million-gallon tank that residents of Avenal depend on for clean drinking water and wastewater treatment. Valadao has represented California’s 22nd District in Congress since replacing TJ Cox in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012. Born in Hanford in 1977 and currently residing there at age 46, Valadao continues to focus on community recognition as well as issues such as public health and essential infrastructure upgrades within his district.
