Rep. David Valadao, who represents California’s 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, marked several events and commemorations in a series of posts on his social media account this week.
On September 1, 2025, Valadao recognized the contributions of American workers, posting: “Happy Labor Day! I’m proud to recognize the contributions of workers in our communities and across the nation. https://t.co/UxrDppHyAJ”
Later that day, he shared his experience attending a local cultural event: “It was an honor to attend the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi Yokut Tribe’s Annual Pow Wow this weekend. This event brings native and non-native families together in celebration of the Tachi Yokut people’s history, and it was a privilege to experience this cultural tradition. https://t.co/N9I4Y6jMzh” (September 1, 2025).
On September 2, 2025, Valadao commemorated a historic milestone: “Today we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII. We will never forget our brave service members who fought to protect and preserve the freedoms we enjoy today. https://t.co/cHnBkB1kim”
Valadao has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing TJ Cox. He previously held office in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012. Born in Hanford, California in 1977, Valadao continues to reside there while representing his district.
