Rep. David Valadao, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 22nd district, shared updates on recent engagements and events in Washington through a series of posts on April 17, 2026.
On April 17, Valadao posted about his meeting with participants of a leadership program: “I enjoyed welcoming Class 55 of the California Agricultural Leadership Program to Washington this week. In another post on April 17, Valadao described a meeting with Blake Zante from the Maddy Institute: “Yesterday, I met with Blake Zante, Executive Director of the Maddy Institute. We discussed their public policy partnership program that connects students throughout the Central Valley with internships at the local, state, and federal levels. Valadao has represented California’s 22nd District in Congress since replacing TJ Cox in 2021. He previously served in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012. Born in Hanford, California in 1977, Valadao continues to reside there while serving his district.
