Rep. David Valadao, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 22nd district since 2021, posted a series of updates on social media highlighting the impact of recent tax policy changes and his engagement with constituents.

On April 15, 2026, Valadao stated that “Over 34 million families across the country have already claimed tax credits part of the Working Families Tax Cuts that will help ease the financial burden of raising kids. This is a historic win that will allow hardworking families to keep more of what they earn and invest in”. On the same day, he added that “Senior citizens on fixed incomes in the Central Valley and across the nation are seeing direct benefits from the Working Families Tax Cuts this Tax Day.”

The following day, April 16, Valadao shared details about his meeting with students from Hanford Christian School during their annual trip to Washington D.C., writing “This week, I welcomed eighth graders from Hanford Christian School to our nation’s capital for their annual trip. It was great to meet with the students, teachers, and volunteers and answer their questions about my work in Washington. If you or someone you know is planning to”.

Valadao has represented California’s 22nd District in Congress since defeating TJ Cox in 2021. He previously served in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012. Born in Hanford, California in 1977, Valadao continues to reside there.
