Rep. David Valadao, who represents California’s 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his official Twitter account regarding his activities and engagements within his constituency.
On August 22, 2025, Valadao expressed appreciation for his summer interns by posting: “Thank you to our district office summer interns, Hunter and Anthony, for all your hard work serving CA-22! Internships are a great way to learn more about government. If you’re interested in interning with my office, find more information here: https://t.co/iqCAnZ4LRO https://t.co/jAF58stLtL”.
Later that day, he reported on a meeting with Valley Children’s Healthcare: “I met with Valley Children’s Healthcare this week to discuss H.R. 1, educational programs, and resources to expand access to care in our communities. The work they do to improve child health outcomes in our region is so important, and I look forward to our continued partnership.” This post highlighted ongoing discussions around legislative initiatives and healthcare services for children in the region.
In another update posted on August 22, Valadao described a meeting with local officials from Shafter: “This week, I met with Shafter’s city manager, police chief, public works director, and councilmembers to discuss community projects and give an update on my work in Congress. We had a productive conversation, and I look forward to continuing to work to support Shafter’s growth.”
Valadao has served as the representative for California’s 22nd district since 2021 after succeeding TJ Cox. He previously held office in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012. Born in Hanford in 1977, Valadao continues to reside there while fulfilling his congressional duties.
