Census Bureau: More men than women in Kern County in 2019

Of the 887,641 people living in Kern County in 2019, 48.8 percent (432,798) were women and 51.2 percent (454,843) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Kern County Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 280,174-to-254,666. In the 65 and over age range, there were 51,194 females and 43,518 males.
