$4.65 Million Has Been Granted for the City of Shafter and Its Historic Core Recreation Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project!
The Project Will Consist of Several Components Listed Below and Has an Estimated Completion Date of June 30, 2024.
Shafter Aquatic Center - Pool Replastering, Replace Pool Deck, Ada Improvements, Bathroom/locker Upgrades, Shade Structure, Litter Abatement, Landscaping, and Drinking Fountain.
Shafter Skate Park- New Obstacles, Covered Seating, Light Improvements, Litter Abatement, and Landscaping.
Mannel Park- Lighting Improvements and Litter Abatement.
Veterans Park - Litter Abatement, Landscaping, and Drinking Fountain.
James Streer Corridor - Transit Stop Relocation, New Playground, Covered Picnic Areas, Lighting Improvements, Litter Abatement, Landscaping, and Drinking Fountain.
