As the weather warms up and we get closer to summer we would like to remind the public of the dangers of the Kern River. Today we updated the sign on Highway 178 at the mouth of the canyon to reflect the number of lives lost in the Kern River since 1968. This year the sign was was updated to reflect two lives lost in the last 12 months in the Kern River.
