Kern County is #WINNING!
This week, Gavin Newsom signed a tribal-state gaming compact with the Tejon Indian Tribe to approve gambling at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon. Now, construction can begin on this exciting project, with plans for completion in the next 12 - 18 months.
Our County has worked diligently with the Tejon Indian Tribe, Hard Rock International, and numerous community partners to bring this entertainment venue to Kern County.
WHAT’S NEXT:
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon will produce an annual payroll of over $60 million.
This project will create 5,000 direct/indirect jobs with local recruitment beginning soon!
This hotel will become a tourism hub for our region, hosting 400 rooms, several restaurants, an entertainment venue, and convention center.
Kern County, the Tejon Indian Tribe, and Hard Rock International will partner to create a joint substation for the Kern County Fire Department and the Kern County Sheriff's Office next to the hotel to ensure the safety of all visitors and residents within this area.
This land will become the Tejon Indian Tribe’s first reservation, located near the Tejon Commerce Center and Outlets.
Taxpayer money will not be used for this hotel or any supporting infrastructure.
Get ready to vacation at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon! Stay tuned, Kern County.
