Screaming and Vandalized Their Door with a Crowbar

On September 24, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a report of brandishing a weapon on the 1600 block of Palm Drive in Bakersfield. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who reported the suspect, age 40, Arturo Nevarez, came to their residence screaming and vandalized their door with a crowbar. Nevarez attempted to assault multiple people at the residence. He went inside the residence and barricaded himself inside with one other person. A Ramey and search warrant were authored. Deputies forced entry and arrested Nevarez without incident. There were no injuries. Nevarez was booked on multiple felony charges including assault with a deadly weapon.
