On the evening of November 3, 2022, Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the Willow Springs Mobile Home Park, at 14500 block of E. Tehachapi Boulevard where an officer-involved shooting involving Sheriff's Office and Tehachapi Police Department personnel occurred.On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the Kern County Sheriff's Office Critical Incident Review Board convened to consider the use of force in the officer-involved shooting.On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, the Tehachapi Police Department convened a Critical Incident Review Board to consider the use of force in the officer involved shooting.After reviewing all the facts involved in this case, the Critical Incident Review Boards for Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Tehachapi Police Department determined the use of force used in this incident was within departmental policy for both agencies.
