We’re sharing some exciting news!
Last week, Kern County received four 2022 Regional Awards of Merit from the Kern Council of Governments! We’re SO proud of our County family for being recognized among many impactful programs, leadership, and talent within our community!
Kern County’s Chief Administrative Officer Ryan Alsop received the Darrel Hildebrand Regional Award of Merit for Distinguished Leadership.
“Around Kern County” received the Regional Award of Merit for Journalism.
Kern Behavioral Health & Recovery Services’ “Mental Health Responder Pilot Program” received the Richard A. Maxwell Regional Award for Public Safety in partnership with the Bakersfield Police Department.
Kern County Probation Department’s “Helping Hands” program received the Regional Award of Merit for Innovation.
We’re thrilled to celebrate these hardworking members of our workforce for their leadership, compassion, and dedication to public service! Thank you for helping Kern County lead the world!
