NEW VIDEO captured this morning of flooding in western Kern County.

The Kern County Fire Department is asking our community to stay vigilant as they continue to monitor water flow and snow melt within the Kern River Valley, Tillie Creek, Poso Creek, and McFarland/Pond areas.

All Evacuation Orders and Warnings remain in effect. We are reminding the public to stay prepared in their safety efforts and advisements, as there are multiple road crews, heavy equipment, emergency personnel and damage assessment professionals working in and around our County.

To stay up to date on all of the latest evacuation information, sign up for emergency notifications at www.readykern.com.
