Vince Fong, U.S. Representative for California’s 20th congressional district, recently highlighted his engagement with community organizations and educational initiatives in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).

On August 22, 2025, Fong described his participation in several Central Valley events, stating, “A great day in the Central Valley! From Tulare-Kings Resources for Life to the Hanford Rotary to the California Fresh Fruit Association mixer, I’m honored to work alongside community leaders to strengthen families, support our neighborhoods, and advocate for our farmers.”

Two days later, on August 24, 2025, Fong addressed education and workforce development. He wrote, “Every child learns differently and deserves a pathway to success — whether college, trades, or the workforce. That’s why I’m hosting our first-ever Skilled Trades Fair on Sept. 13. On August 25, 2025, Fong expressed appreciation for local sports inclusion programs by posting about his attendance at a basketball event organized by League of Dreams: “Honored to join League of Dreams for their Basketball Tip-Off! This program ensures every child can play, grow, and belong. Grateful to celebrate inclusion, teamwork, and the joy of the game. Thank you to our community for supporting such an inspiring organization!”

Fong has served as a representative since December 2023 after winning a special election following Kevin McCarthy’s resignation. His district includes parts of Kern County and Tulare County in California’s Central Valley.
