July is Purple Ribbon Month, and the Kern County Department of Human Services is working with local law enforcement to raise awareness about the dangers of leaving children in cars unattended.
On July 6, 2022, at approximately 1:45 p.m., deputies from Kern County Sheriff’s Office metro patrol were dispatched to investigate a robbery that had just occurred at a convenience store named Brothers Grocery located on the 300 block of Taft Hwy.
During a crime suppression operation led by the Crime Prevention Unit, deputies observed a vehicle displaying false registration tabs driving in Canyon Country.
Deputies with the Special Assignment Team were conducting a patrol check of Stevenson Ranch when they observed a vehicle without registration tabs displayed.
Deputies with the Summer Team were patrolling Valencia when they observed a vehicle without any license plates, parked at a local gas station. During a traffic stop, they contacted 3 occupants, all identified to be on active probation.
